Lionel Moth

Lionel Moth is ready to alight gently at your neck, keeping you company all the live-long day. Best of all, he does NOT eat wool, although would appreciate a small bread crumb from time to time. Lionel has been fashioned entirely by hand from vintage reclaimed tea tins in lovely shades of blue and dusky rose. Cut from a pattern, edges sanded, riveted together, and then given a special patina for a lovely aged appearance, he is one of a kind and ready to fly home to you. Necklace moths have a slightly wider wingspan than brooch moths, and are softly curved. I like them best at choker length or maybe a little longer (see last photo).

The last 2 photos show Trevor Moth finished with chain and as worn. Please send a note when purchasing to let me know the COMPLETE length you want your necklace, moth included. I will add the appropriate amount of delicate aged brass chain, and a clasp to give you the perfect fit.

Please note: Although the moth necklaces are truly adorable, and are carefully filed and sanded, I do not consider them appropriate for children.

Special: While all moths are a bit wonky due to the nature of cutting tin, Lionel was the VERY FIRST prototype moth created in the studio and as such, he’s just a little wonkier (around the eyes). Thus, he is discounted by $10. He is a special but not lesser moth! One day he may be highly collectible!
