I’m posting this for posterity. In the 1980s I had a vintage clothing shop called That Girl! in a spare bedroom in my 1905 bungalow house. I was thrifting heavily back then and the pickings were nothing short of amazing. I couldn’t bear to leave a single tulle prom dress or mink collared cashmere cardigan behind, so I rescued them all and began selling. @dotsteck might remember these days as she was my #1 thrift partner; we’d spend our lunch hours from work doing this after scraping spare change together from under the seats of her badass Ford Pinto called Brownie. The sign is a huge piece of foam core board with hand cut and painted foam core lettering affixed. I mean, look at those serifs! It’s water damaged from basement floods and time to say goodbye. PS: Dot and her famous incredible legs modeled for a flyer for the shop, a photo taken by her late and very missed husband, Charles. I’ll post that too. #vintage #80s #thrifting

Overwhelmingly excited with this project. Sorry so many pics! Wanted to share emerging sleeve. I’m modifying by tapering the sleeves as I don’t love a wide sleeve. I prefer to push a sleeve up than roll it, esp with a sweater. The basics of this pattern have given me some wild ideas for the future. The modularity is just so fun and satisfying as you finish pieces quickly and move on. Also would like to do one in a smaller size, probably next with some thrifted acrylic yarn in crazy colors. Then maybe another stashbusting slouchy oversized mixing in fabric pieces with the knits. Planning is my fave part. #KNITFOREVER

Sweet little Iggy is living his best life as a wis

Sweet little Iggy is living his best life as a wise 17 year old baby. He has lost a lot of weight, which is typical of older cats sometimes, but also he has IBS which causes him not to get much nutrition from his super expensive prescription food. He eats a ton, but it processes right through without nutritional absorption. He’s sleeps a little more, but still periods of activity including food fights with his brother. He snuggles and purrs and is still the sweetest person in the household! #seniorkitty #iggypop
